Description An account of the resource The Ohio Synod approved a division of the Westmoreland Classis that resulted in the organization of the Classis at Saegertown, PA, on June 6, 1851. In 1857 this Classis was transferred to the (Eastern) Synod. In 1869 it was transferred, and in 1870 became a charter member of the Pittsburgh Synod. It continued to 1939 when all churches became part of the Pittsburgh Synod of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. A preliminary report was made for 1850 before formal organization. Reports were sent to two synods for 1857. Reports to the Ohio Synod from 1850-1857, the (Eastern) Synod from 1857-1869, and the Pittsburgh Synod from 1870-1939.
