Description

Several classes requested the formation of the Pittsburgh Synod at the 1866 General Synod. They were authorized to seek approval for such an organization and at the 1869 General Synod it was reported that the parent Synods of the Classes involved had granted their approval. This Synod was organized at Grace Reformed Church in Pittsburgh, PA, on February 11, 1870. It continued through 1939.
